Through these courses, Kailey has learned how to efficiently cue and correct movement patterns and issues the athlete might be dealing with, and to discuss proper dosing and regimens.
Ankle
Premier Physical Therapy can meet all your ankle rehabilitation needs, whether you are recovering from surgery, suffer from chronic ankle instability, or tweaked it while on the go. We utilize a combination of manual and mobility work, strengthening and stability work, and dynamic and proprioceptive training in ankle rehab.
Aquatics
Premier Physical Therapy offers onsite Aquatic Therapy. Holly is certified through the Aquatic Exercise Association as an Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program Leader. The water is a fantastic place to strengthen individuals in an environment that allows stress to be eliminated from the body’s joints.
Cupping
Myofascial decompression, or Cupping, is the only modality physical therapists can use to provide decompressive, rather than compressive, forces to tissues. After an injury or in times of inflammation, tissue layers can become stagnant and less mobile, causing pain and dysfunction. Cupping lifts the body's tissue to allow for proper gliding and mobility between layers that have been stagnant, and to release tight tissues, providing pain relief and improved blood flow to injured areas.
Dry Needling
Dry needling involves inserting very thin monofilaments into a muscle to elicit a response from the nervous system. We can use dry needling to reduce pain, improve range of motion, restore muscle function, improve motor control, reduce spasticity, affect atrophy, and improve blood flow. Electrical stimulation can be paired with dry needling to improve muscle function and tissue health, as well as for pain relief. We do encourage physical activity and/or rehab exercises following dry needling.
